Where the film was set

Set in a high-tech near future, the story takes place in the fictional city of San Fransokyo (a hybrid of San Francisco and Tokyo). The city is filled with bright neon lights and various moving advertisements (a feature of the Japanese capital), as well as rolling hills, 19th century buildings and the Golden Gate Bridge (from San Francisco).
